    The Pier

Finally got my computer set up. Thanks again to the many who contributed with advice and recommendations. I got a Dell64 bit machine with an i5 processor, a 250g SSD and a 1tb HHD. I am now able to run Lightroom 6! Finally! I plan to experiment with HDR shots; in fact most of my recent ones I have bracketed for this purpose. This one is just a straight shot ( no HDR) I just loved the colours so decided to post it.
I have also been experimenting with adjusting the colours of my monitor and made it worse so I have reverted to factory settings for now.

Attractive curves, all going in the right direction. Exposure and focus are also good.

Good one Joe, I too like the colours here.

If it's a scene you can get to easily would it be worth shooting it another time from a lower angle (if possible) to put the major part of the pier above the horizon? Just an thought

Beautiful shot, Joe...I love the inclusion of people to give the bridge a scale. It is a good study of lies and curves too...neat...really neat shot!!! And I like the treatment of the water too...I am glad you did not make it sort of milky...
