Her name was Mama Mia and she and I had been together for over 13-years. She had been my best friend and I was hers.
She was a constant and loyal companion who developed a brain lesion very suddenly. She could not stand, foamed at the mouth and did not recognize me! Thankfully she didn't have to suffer long. Judy and I were with her as our vet put her out of her misery.
It's a great loss but, I look around and our rescue dogs and think about the dogs we have saved and that seems to make Mama Mia's loss just a tiny bit easier. NOT EASY BY ANY STRETCH, just a BIT easier...
BTW: please make sure that all of you have at least one good picture of any dog or person that you love!
