Sleeping Great Blue Heron

I shot this GBH this morning just after dawn, it appeared to be sleeping as it never moved a twitch in 15 minutes and had its eyes closed.

Very nice image, I would crop the blurred FG and leave the reflections of the bushes and the bird on the water

+1 from me. Might even make a nice letterbox shot. As to sleeping and not moving a twitch in 15 minutes with it's eyes closed - I can relate to that.

Lovely image, I would definitely try a crop to make the Heron more prominent though.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments. I left this shot wide as I have literally dozens of closer and close up shots of these guys. I just wanted a different look. I do agree about the blurred foreground, it does not add anything.
