Re: Translucent roof panel illuminates interior..
Hi Drishya,
If this were mine, I would rotate it slightly counter clockwise in order to make the two sides of the central arch at the top of the stairs be either side of vertical.
I say this because you may have tried to get the steps horizontal, but as you're not directly in front of them, this is unwise (in my view).
When viewing the image, the composition takes our eyes up the stairs, then they explore the rest of the shot and it feels as if leaning to the right because of the centre point being tilted, in addition to the two closer bits of wall either side which almost over power the scene.
Ideally, you might have shot at a wider angle, to allow for some perspective correction to reduce the effect of converging verticals caused by tilting the camera up so much and give more leaway in rotation in PP if the shot were not better leveled at time of capture.
As an alternative, why not just rotate the camera 90 degrees when shooting?
If it had been shot in portrait orientation, you would not have needed to tilt the camera up so much to include the roof panels and it would have avoided some, or all, of the walls left and right and given us the foreground floor to anchor the image.
However, please do not feel bad; I'm not going to admit how many times I have shot subjects in landscape orientation (badly), when just shooting vertically would have solved the problem, but not thought of this until I was sat in front of my computer.
I hope this helps, Dave

A bit of noise in certain areas, the paint on the rails suggests an older, unkept structure or are my eyes being tricked by the lighting? Nice capture, would've liked to see all of the overhead light.

Dear drishya,
Is this your home? The UAE has some delightful and unexpected architecture. Can you tell us about it? I love the pumpkin spice color of the walls and the crisp white accent.
