Ganesh Festival

Dear All,

Here are two shots which I have captured on the 1st day of Ganesh Chaturthi. This festival is of 10 days. For 10 days people place the Ganesh idol in their house or campus and worship for prosperity. Here in one picture, one man is taking the idol in an auto rick. And in the other one, a child is sitting along with the idols, which were kept for selling.

Another interesting post, Tejal. I really like the first one for the color against a contrasting BG. And the boy is visually hidden among the idols and comes as a surprise when recognition finally seeps in. Nicely done.

Tejal...if no one noticed it yet, I think the water bottle should be removed from the first shot...I like #1 very much. I like the inclusion of the boy with the Ganesh/s. Very pretty and colourful work of art there...

Thanks a lot for your input. The bottle was there in my mind but if I remove it then it would have been difficult to fill that shape as there an idol behind it.
