Looks like the critters cooperated for your trip. And the weather. I love that place.
One could sit happily & watch these creatures all day I expect.
Nice series Steve. How special it must be to get a shot of a Grizzly.
Thanks Dan, John, Kay, and Jim. It was a beautiful day yesterday and still lots of tourists too.
Nice photos, Steve. What lens were you using?
That grizz looks like he might be sizing you up for dinner!
Thanks Martin and Alan. I was using my old AF (analog focus) Pentax K 400mm f/5.6 with a Kenko 1.5x TC on a K-3.
Hmmmm ... if my maths is correct .. 400mm lens x 1.5 (TC) x 1.6 (APS-C camera) = 960mm lens.
I've been told that is still not big enough for photographing grizzlies. You need to be even further away!
I'm with Alan, he probably has you in his sights as a potential breakfast or dinner

I was about to comment on the grizzly -- I am late again...I like that shot best because of his interaction with your camera...I like #1 too but there seems to be a problem with the eye of the bison...it must be the sun. Is that the way they squint?
Thanks Martin and Izzie. I think there's a bit of CA in the eye. It was near MFD on my old lens and it may not be pin sharp.
