When I posted the color version Binnur suggested I give it a go in B&W. Any opinions?

Great in black and white! And the perspective, too.
One might be tempted to crop a bit off the bottom, but not sure I would. The uphill view is reminiscent of Ansel Adams' Church and Road in Examples. He heightened the effect by shooting it vertically instead of horizontally.
Looks like one could see forever from the front porch.
Thanks for sharing.
Zen
It works in B/W also. Definitely gives it that "period" feel and isolated the cabin among the trees.
Thanks Zen and Dan for the feedback, appreciated.
Jim,
I usually prefer color to B&W but must admit that this one works very well. If you are still in the mood for experimenting, I would suggest trying a hint of sepia color for a more nostalgic mood.
Great photo.
Andre
I would try and add a bit more contrast myself, but that is personal taste.
Thanks Andre and Matt for the comments and suggestions on how I might improve the image.
I prefer the original colour photo, Jim. Monochrome is about emphasizing line, shape and texture. In my opinion this photo is too "busy" for that.
I do like the colour version but +1 with Andre's suggestion. I believe it will be very nice using sepia...what is that hue and saturation doing un-noticed?
Nice work; please get me a link to the color one
