Baboon Interactions
When watching a congress of baboons, (the ones in Africa), one can feel the tension. In this series of photos, the mother was carrying the baby when a baboon with only a partial tail came up from behind and touched the baby. The mother increased her speed to get away from the intruder, and she gave him a look that only a mother could deliver. Check out the eyes on the little one.

Re: Baboon Interactions
Interesting interaction and perfectly captured expressions/body language on the animals. Lighting is perfectly handled and the pano crop is a great choice for the second and third images.

Re: Baboon Interactions
No one should come between a mother and her child, even though there are times some eat their own... You've captured the expressions of these animals very well indeed. I wonder why her behind is pinkish...and bald. Are they naturally like that? Or is it that distinguish the female from the male?
Good catch!

Re: Baboon Interactions
I love images like these Chuck, that tell a story. They say as much about the photographer as they do about the subject.

Superb wildlife photography. In terms of picture quality, there's nothing to say, other than it is straight out of the top drawer.

Re: Baboon Interactions
Izzie, both sexes have bare bottoms. They also have growths on the rear ends that serve as pads when they sit down. They are interesting animals to watch.
