Helpful Posts: I picked up my entry point permit for Moose River North for Sunday Sept. 20. I drove the Echo Trail to Ely, Mn in order to pick up a few more supplies......fatal error!!! I set up the hammock at Lake Jeanette campground for the overnight before entering the BWCA

Sorry, Donald....Boundary Waters Canoe Area is the largest road-less area in the lower 48 states, the only practical way in is by canoe.

Nice shots, Randy. It looks like this adventure to the BWCA seems to be more successful than your last trip to this area.
The landscape looks rather familiar (rocks, trees and water). I hope the weather is treating you as well as it has been treating us for the past few days.

Anyway, I prefer #1 image. I think it is a nice place to spend the night...were you alone? Did you have to contend with night insects?
