Now museum,this room was "trapezaria"(in Greek "trapezi" means "table"-refectory in West Europe) for those who now are behind that door.

That's why this place is called Meteora meaning "suspended in the air", same root as meteor and meteoroid, the shooting star. The funny thing is you can find shells there since million years ago the place was under the sea.
