A lot of people are raving about the de-haze function in PhotoShop CC for this kind of image, used judiciously it may give you some pop that you are after without over doing it.
Nice series none the less... I am also enjoying the fond memories of time spent in the area as a kid
Thanks for that Rob. I am using CS6 which really contains as much as I can cope with. Haven't been tempted to go the route of pay-as-you-go. I just don't like it in principle. Too many corporates looking for an ongoing share of my wallet. I prefer to 'own' it.
Glendalough really is like a huge playground to me. My late father used to take us there in his old Model Y Ford (from Dublin) for picnics on public holidays and summer weekends. I can still remember the smell of strong tea simmering on a paraffin Primus stove mixed with the scent of pine trees 60 years on.

I am with you on the CC issue, It does seem like everyone wants to dip into your wallet on a regular basis these days. I own CS6 and see no reason to move over for what I do. To give credit where it is due, I upgraded to CS6 at a student price when I was studying (Mature age student) The price was great for students and they support that area really well.

Did you ever go to "The hell fire club" on top of Mount Pelier? I remember going there with my Dad and Granddad. The lore was that the Divil himself lost a game of cards and razed the building as he left.

I'm familiar with the area around the Hellfire Club and the story although I have never actually been to the remains of the building. We lived in Ballinteer, South County Dublin, for the first 35 years of our marriage before moving to North Wexford nine years ago. I do miss the foothills of South Dublin but re-visit them occasionally especially at this time of year. I have some favourite spots between the upper reaches of the Liffey and Kippure mountain which are brilliant for Autumn colour. Some of these images on my website might tickle your nostalgia buds. www.ndukes.net/albums/wicklow-county/
