Top of the hiking trail, that is...



This shot was taken from a lookout on the Nokomis hiking trail in Lake Superior Provincial Park and gives a great overview of the landscape in the northern part of the park (hint - lots of hills and trees).

We see Highway 17 cutting through the part and passing over the Old Woman River, which empties into Old Woman Bay, which is on Lake Superior. It's our last day in the area and we will be driving along the north shore of the lake to Thunder Bay.

Nice view...too much trees. Is the blue side at the RHS "normal" maybe it is too blue?

You could be right, Izzie, but I can't be sure with the screen I am using. Even when profiled it has a bit of a blue colour cast. That being said, Lake Superior water is quite blue, I shot with a polarizer and much of the top of the photo is in shadow. This shot was taken at "golden hour", so there is definitely mixed lighting in this image.

Great shot, I maybe would of have a little less of the trees on the left and more of the lake though.

I would have if I could have. This is the wilds of Canada and there was a small gap in the trees to shoot through, so that was pretty well the only shot I could get.
