We had stopped at the park office for the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, in Bayfield WI, for some information on the area when we noticed that the local high school marching band was practicing marching around the block and was using the parking lot for their practice.
I took a number of quick shots, and I think this one of one of the band members is the shot I like best. The band was not in uniform (obviously) and some of the footware did not look particularly appropriate for marching....
The location was not ideal, the lighting was not ideal, the crop was not ideal, but with all of the motion and people marching back and forth, isolating an individual band member (this one was in the last row) was a bit of a challange.
