    Glacial shoreline

I took this image because I liked the curves and smooth glacier worn rock shoreline. Since capturing it a couple weeks ago I haven't been able to decide how to process it. Leave it color or change it to monochrome in high contrast. Or maybe something I haven't thought of.

First image is as shot and second image is processed to monochrome. C&C welcome.

Dave - neither of these shots work particularly well for me.

In my view the issue is the water. Our eyes are drawn to the brightest part of the image, and in this case it is the upper right hand corner. Our eyes tend to run right out of the image without really seeing the rocks.

One of the possible fixes I see for this shot is to trim off the bottom half of the picture just below the large diagonal crack, This would provide a viewing area where you play with the symmetry of the shape of the rock and shape of the water.

Going monochrome does not do much for this scene as it is almost completely monochrome already and the bit of green adds just enough of a splash of colour to provide the viewer with a bit more interest.

Hi Dave, maybe you can add more to your wonderful glacier shoreline. Perhaps a broader landscape shot but still giving priority to your shoreline?

    Hope this helps.

Nice shape, I like the color version as the greenery peeking through the tundra really pops.

+1 to John's comment. Plus I see a happy contented face there. What is that line on the right hand side? I don't like it.
