Rental canoes
Strolling around the water in Huntsville, Canada we came across the back of an outfitter, This is where they store the canoes that they rent for people who either want to canoe in the waters behind the store or head up to Algonquin Park and canoe in one of the lakes. The park is quite large (about 1/3 the size of Belgium) and it has over 2500 lakes.
The repeating patterns and colours are what struck me when I lined up this shot.

Re: Rental canoes
That's a great image and getting the sign in there too makes it so much better. "The Park" as we call it where I work, MNR Aviation And Forest Fire Management, is a jewel and a must visit park for anyone who loves nature.

Re: Rental canoes
Thanks Dave - I thought about you for as second as we skirted around Sudbury when we drove the Huntsville from the Soo yesterday. We did spend a night there on our drive out to Lake Superior and got a shot of the Big Nickel on the way out of town.

Re: Rental canoes
Nicely captured, great shapes to take advantage of for a pattern composition.

Re: Rental canoes
I'd be tempted to go for a square crop and remove the distracting elements on the LH edge but other than that it is a great picture.

Re: Rental canoes
I can see your image but, don't know if I would have seen it in real life. Nice shot!

Re: Rental canoes
Manfred -- the bottom red boat doesn't have a logo around the bird. Other than that, this is a nice shot, a good study of curves shapes and colours. Real good shot as always coming from you...
