    Pico del Teide, Tenerife

Two shots from my recent holiday to the island of Tenerife. First shot is of Mount Teide, taken from inside an extinct volcano and the second shot is my first attempt at a Milky Way from the same area later the same night. All c&c and advice welcome.

#1. Pico del Teide, afternoon shot.

    First image looks fine.

For me, the second one has too much dark area in the bottom left corner.

Thanks Geoff, I have lighter version of the second shot but there was a lot of noise and I found it distracting and frustrating.

The alternative would be a slight crop.

They are very nice Gerry I would darken the bright area at the top left corner of the dark FG in #2 as it is a bit distracting. Then the dark FG wouldn't be an issue for me.

    These are both excellent.

The edit looks better Gerry, I'm stiil seeing that part slightly brighter than the rest of the FG but it doesn't distract anymore

I am late here to your party, but to me, both shots are excellent. I like #1 for the intro of what you are about to shoot that night...and the night vision is really good. I would have advised removing the noise via ACR since you are also using Photoshop but Binnur has other method that works too...but if you are interested, here is the link to reducing noise in ACR. It is an old one but it also works with the new version of Photoshop:
