A few from this morning

I'm back to work tomorrow for 10 days so I decided to take a drive this morning. I'm lucky in that just 20 minutes in any direction and I'm out of the city. This morning was hazy with a sky that was a flat grey so I tried to not include the sky in my images as much as possible.

First stop was just a little north of town.



Or maybe better cropped down to this to remove the bland sky.








I don't do monochrome very often but these next two seemed to fit the bill.




I came across this old rusty steamer. There was a tall fence so had to stick my lens between the iron bars.

The reflected colors in the first image seem so much more vibrant than what is displayed above. I would flip this one horizontally just to see how it looks. Nice conversions on the others.

John I tried flipping over the first image and it almost worked......well sort of. Looked weird in an almost interesting way.

I like the coloured shots better, particularly #1 and #3 shots. I am not good at black and white conversions myself and only uses Nik Silver Efex for my conversion and adjust to suit my taste so I cannot comment much on your shots here. I know I like the rope image than the last one.
