Nice specimen and capture.
Looks like when the first shot was taken, she(?) wasn't finished.
From the opposite side, this extra web silk hides her legs and form, I imagine as better camouflage, to trap more prey/food.

Interesting how she pairs her legs in groups of two.

I think it still may be a way to hide her legs. Insect vision could be fooled by the legs placed in front of the dense webbing, especially if they don't see the way we do.
Also, webs may need to be redone if a particularly large insect flies into it and tears the web during its struggle.
All that aside, this is a nice portrait of one of my favorite creatures!
