Day three - here we go!
Day three - here we go!
#checks watch#
You're early.
Ah, come on - you could boogie while you wait...
EXIF here.
Wildlife for me today. Once nice thing about this PAD stuff is that I have my camera with me a lot. I saw this guy/gal from the road, but no place to pull off, so I just stopped and shot out the window. It isn't a great shot: it had some motion blur that I used Focus Magic on, and I had to fix some lighting. But it's a lot more interesting than anything else I did today, and I have to put up a shot I got sticking my camera out the window of the car.
I'm also switching to Flickr, to have a little more scope for image size. See my PAD slideshow. Assuming this all works today, I'll edit the image links in day 1 and 2, just to be consistent.
C&C greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Rick

I love the way Sophie's hair is blowing... Did you use a fan? Great shots of Jaden also. He looks a bit older in the full face image than in the profile. That's just my imagination I guess... Are Jaden and Sophie siblings? I'd guess that they are...
Do you ever have those days where the camera feels dead in your hand? And that whatever you shoot comes out blah? Today was one of those days, but I knew I had to get out, or Colin would be after me. So, here are the results:

This is a close-up of our corgi's eye. She wasn't that keen on me looming at her with a lens and refused to look me in the eye, so to speak. If you look carefully, you can get a sneak peek at the inside of our bus.

Rick, that was luck indeed. If you had stepped out of the car, varoom... I like the shadow of her turned back head.
Great portraits, Colin. I especially like the second b & w set.
And that fly again, Dave. Even closer.
I love the eye, Kit! Great concept, brilliant image.
Cheers,
Rick
Kit I really like the Corgi's eye. Very nice use of DoF.No 2.

Day 3 and another idea resolved.
This has an element of cheat which I'll own up to... last Saturday I was in Market Harborough, and took a single shot of a sundial on the tower of the town church.
At the time I had a thought that not so long ago, about the only way to get the time was from public clocks.
This morning I was in the jewelry quarter of Birmingham and there it was, Aston Cross Clock, and about a mile away, and then I remembered another one, the Clock at Hockley Cross, and finally just 500 yards from where I live Marston Green clock. So now they are fashionable and decorative, but its good to still see them.
Thats Day 3 done! 28 to go .......
