    Writing on Stone Park

I shot this image of the sandstone hoodoos near Milk River, Alberta. These rock outcroppings are protected and can only be visited with the presence of a guide. The Blackfoot tribe used the sandstone to carve their history that has been preserved for centuries. Milk River is also known as one of the darkest regions of North America, perfect for astrophotography.

Monte...very nice...Being a panorama, did you use a fisheye to shoot this one? I have never seen so much stars in one place!

    +1 to Izzie.

I like the faces on those rocks, too.

I used the Nikon 14-24 at 14mm. It has some distortion as I could not level the camera and had it pointed slightly upwards.
This location is listed as one of the darkest spots in North America. The stars were amazing, even to the naked eye. I used ISO 6400 and 30 seconds so they are even more prominent than normal.
