Tern, Tern, Tern.
No, that's not a spelling mistake. Went to the ocean again yesterday, in the hope of finding some more surfers in action at the same location as last time. No luck. Conditions were not favourable for good waves.
All was not lost, however. After walking along the beach for a while, I began to notice the birdlife along the shore. There were only a few species to be seen, predominately, Terns. I spent a couple of hours walking and shooting.
These are my favourites:

All shot with Canon 7D Mkii and EF 400mm, f/5.6L.
CC always welcome.

Very nice series. Watch them longer and you will begin to notice lots of other interesting behaviour.

Re: Tern, Tern, Tern.
Thank you, Bobo, Izzie, William, and John. I'm glad that you like them and appreciate your comments.
I also like the graceful look of the wings in the 4th and 6th, Izzie. The way the end of the wing turns up, is really nice.

Re: Tern, Tern, Tern.
Hello Chris,
As a photographer of among other things birds, I understand the challenge.
You have truly captured them well! Good show.

Great shots. I particularly like #4 and #8. The last one gives an air of relaxation.

Re: Tern, Tern, Tern.
I am late to this thread. Wonderful shots. I have yet to conquer the art of photographing birds like this.

Really a nice set, Chris. Nos 6 and 7 are really excellent. Techs well handled and great positions on the birds. I like the sea in the BG on no.6. Well done.
