    Blowing in the breeze

OK, it was a little more than a breeze the other evening. We had gusts up to 45-50mph. The flag was straight out like somebody had layed it on a flat surface, that is until I pressed the button.

Me too...I like it. If you look at that at night time, at the right angle it will resemble like fire...or is this just my imagination...

If you look at the histogram of this image, I think you will find that you have a significantly underexposed image here. The last time I checked, the colours of the American flag are NOT red, blue and gray. This is unfortunately a problem caused by the way a camera's light meter works.

Camera light meters are reflective light meters and a built in assumption is that you are shooting an average scene (18% gray). With the light sky in this shot, your exposure meter will bring this to 18% and your image will be far too dark.

I like your image, it has a strange atmosphere to it. I truly believe that it would not be so had it been correctly exposed.
    Cheers Ole
