It needs a frame to 'contain' it, but I like this very much.

    Blue and yellow

This was shot today with my new Panasonic G1. It was also my PAD shot for today. Pretty, I thought.

Can't remember the name of these right now. Wouldn't mind some tips for shooting these tall spikes though. The only thing that's turned out so far are close ups. The plants are close to 5' high.

Wendy, I think they're delphiniums. I like the treatment you've given them and the framing is great - excellent choice of colour and presentation. Did you generate it yourself?

No idea what this is called. Found it growing in an old slate quarry which had been breached by the sea ata place called Abereiddy, South Wales.

Yup, that's it - delphiniums. Thanks Kit. As for the frame, I did it in Elements 8. Kind of standard treatment for me. Thin black border/canvas size, then match the background colour from the photo make a wider border/canvas size and apply a drop shadow. In this shot I was fortunate to get a nice isolated background as the spike was leaning over a gravel pathway.

    Thanks for the feedback

Looks almost like thrift, except that is usually pink. But there could well be a lot of types that we don't have here.
