Colin - When making an album, you don't need to use TinyPics. You can upload into the album directly from your computer. The album behaves differently from images in a post in the forum, in that you are actually storing the images on the CiC site.
So, if you go into albums you will see 'Create New Album'. Give it a name and description if you wish. Check the 'public' checkbox (unless you wish to keep it private) and then save that. Then you'll see your album listed and at the top right of the window a box 'Upload Photos'. Click on that and away you go.

Remember that if you create an album on this site you will be limited by image dimensions and file size, which is more limiting than other options. 700 pixels on the longest edge and 160 KB.
Tinypics will allow for larger images and many people create albums elsewhere then link across to CinC. For example, I use P base.
