Windows 10 viewing Canon RAW
I'm hoping someone this board can help with an issue that I've been having.
With windows 8, I was able to easily view both my jpg and raw's in explorer and photo viewer...
However, when I moved up to windows 10, the RAWs don't show up as a valid type to view.
I have the latest ACR so I have no issue to utilize the files in PS or LR.
Any help to see what can be done so I can preview these without dropping them into PS?
Thanks

Re: Windows 10 viewing Canon RAW
You might need to download the Windows 10 CODEC package from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=26829
I looked for it on the Canon site but could only find one for windows 7 (which should work) but the MS site will be pretty comprehensive.

Re: Windows 10 viewing Canon RAW
Ankit, as I understand it, to be able to view raw files in windows you need to have installed the Microsoft Camera Raw Codec pack. The version that is currently available from Microsoft only works up to Windows 8.1 release.
As far as I can determine a Windows 10 compatible version has not yet been released.
There is some chatter on the Microsoft forums about this but so far no update.
