Forum Problems

Do we still have a problem. John Rostron Has replied to my post "Autumn Colours" (Nearly)" but there is no sign of the reply in my original post accessed either via "Latest Threads" or directly through the "Nature and Architecture" section in the Forum area of the site. This has happened once before. Any ideas?

Update: John's post has now disappeared all together.

John - when I look into the history, it appears that John Rostron has deleted his own posting (at 13:33).

I can definitely see 7 postings on this thread (including your original posting). John Rostron's posting was #8.

So far as I can tell everything seems to be working as it should be.

Thank you Manfred. Given the time difference, John must have been deleting his post at the time I spotted it in Latest Threads which would explain everything.

I think there can be many reasons. Amongst those that have led me to delete posts:-

• Oh, someone else has already made that point in an earlier post.
• I'm talking nonsense.
• Oops, that was the wrong thread I replied to.
• Shut up Donald and give other people a chance to comment first.
• I have not explained that clearly. Delete that post and start again

Thanks...as long as John doesn't disappear altogether because I like his expertise and his posts, one of those people I follow here. So far I don't have any double post yet so I will keep this in mind that I can delete my own posts.
