Hi Griddi,
I can see why the lower left corner has determined the framing on the left edge of the image, but I find the out of focus (ornate) stand/easel thing is too distracting.
That's an interesting view, could have been shot almost anywhere, very 'international'.
Lots to keep us enthralled; for example, the woman apparently mid-way through removing her scarf
Well observed and shot, Dave
Griddi - I find that this shot almost works. I find the whole left side quite distracting and a small crop cleans things up and uses the display shelf to lead our eyes straight to the subject. I'd also probably make a small tweak to the black point and white point as well.
I used a standard (on this side of the Atlantic) 8 x 10 size crop.
Nice shot, Griddi. We see this scene so often - a student sits down and reads the book for a half hour or so, then puts it back on the shelf and walks out, having gleaned the information s/he needs.
Thank you John......
Griddi......
Manfred, thank you very much to show me how the photo could be much better....thank you for taking out the time to crop etc.
I like the photo as it is now very much, and I am happy about it.......also I have learned a bit more,,so next time I will (hopefully ) trying out more cropping, or perhaps a different angle.........
Thanks again,
Griddi.......
A thought provoking picture Griddi. My curiosity was aroused by the strange footwear of the reader - more suitable for a hike than the bookstore.
Dicky.
An interesting slice of life but that's what street (bookshop) photography is all about. +1 to Manfred's crop though.
I liked it, it's cool, Griddi.. As a big fan of literature, I often visit similar threads on forums, collect useful recommendations from authors and readers from all over the world, recently found a cool source that I will now recommend to you, this website contains a large collection of literary analytics on “The Tell Tale Heart” by Edgar Poe, which interested me very much, I first studied these short and very interesting posts with an analysis of various points of this story, and then studied in the full story, which I advise you to do, if you are looking for something to do this evening or over the weekend.
