    Another nice one Sharon,

Way more artistic than I could manage - although, you make me want to try.

Sorry to say I cannot say you inspire me, because that would mean I'd have to actually get the camera out and I always find excuses to be busy (or lazy)

One of these days if you can I (and probably many more) would really really appreciate a walkthrough of how you get your effects.

Dave..it's fun!! Although with waitresses it's always important not to get caught as they have power over your food.

Brian. I just see it the way I see an eye test...but instead of 'better or worse' an effect either ge6s me closer to the vision in my head or it doesn't and I eschew it. I don't like photoshop and use smaller 'quirlier' editing suites such as pic monkey and pixlr express and over time have come to know roughly what 'area' of effects are likely to provide what I am after for any given shot. Then I just tinker about...and go from one suite to another until it is how I want it. Some shots take a bit more editing than others..this one only had three effects applied and tweaked. ( It practically edited itself) I don't write down or document which effects I use in any given shot as that would become like a 'recipe' and I'd rather approach every shot afresh than with any kind of formula. I hope that answers your question to some extent and thanks for asking it.

I like that very much Sharon. Echoes of Toulouse-Lautrec.

Very vibrant, yet eerie shot as the capture has a scorched image look to it.

Toulouse-Lautrec didn't cut his ear off..he couldn't reach it so he left that for Van Gough to do.

I plan on keeping as many senses as possible Peter.

Hi Sharon. Another nice image of yours You PMed me the softwares you use months ago and I actually thought that you have been using some additional software because your images are so nice. After seeing your reply to Brian, I will get into those softwares to find out some new effects.

    Hi Sharon,

Ah'm not usually one for "worked" photos or overworked, in most cases (though ah enjoy pootling away on a wet afternoon with the myriad software on my PC). You strike the balance beautifully. Ah'd put this on ma wall.

PS IMO, much nearer Manet than Lautrec.

    Wonderful image, Sharon.

Regardless of software and technique, you have to have the imagination to being with - and you have mountains of it.
