    it would have been helped with a little more light. sadly i was rather clumsy and after this shot I knocked the leaf and the blossom fell.

    At least you knocked the leaf after taking the shot. I too would have expected something large and gaudy. Nice capture of a difficult one.

    I have on occasion saved myself the bother of actually taking the shot by knocking things off first.

    it grows at the top of the coconut. Over here the coconut tree is called 'the tree of life'. Food, shelter, wine, sugar, roofing, brooms, candy, the list of uses is long.
