I did try some flash but that will take a lot more work. I tied the branch so that it had a better background and a little less shade.

and there be the rub... there are a lot of possibilities with this blossom. The yellow does draw the eye in and that may well be the key. Luckily this bush blossoms every couple of months so there will be many more opportunities to get it right.
