    Alpenglo this morning

To go along with our morning coffee we had this view. Compensation for the previous 24hrs of wind and snow

Great shot Dan!. We had a few days of high winds and rain and got nothing nearly as nice for suffering through it. Most of the lovely fall leaves got stripped off the trees and are not nearly as nice looking when they are on the lawn and driveway.

Isn't it getting close to the time of year you start hibernating?

It is indeed, Manfred. Getting time to go through and clean up all the files generated this summer. But we only have a week or so to rest in the short term. We're headed down under on holiday. Though since I'm unemployed I don't guess it is "on holiday". Just a temporary change of geography

Beautiful image, Dan. Is that the view from your back yard?

My former work colleagues make the same comment to me, something about "it's not a holiday after you've retired". Strangely it still feels like a holiday.

Enjoy your trip! How long will you be going for?

    Thanks, guys.

Greg, it's the view in front of our house... occasionally.

Manfred, we're going for three weeks.

Tell your friends that the reason you can tell it's a holiday is that it costs as much as a holiday. Have a great time!
