Good candid shot. Exposure and focus are perfect; in what was potentially a tricky scene.
Nicely done.
Neat shot of a lovely gal. I love images of people photographing and being photographed...
Nicely caught.
Good catch, Dave. In my experience with Asian tourists here, they seem to be much more relaxed about being photographed.
Thanks everyone for your comments. Much appreciated.
Dave
Ohhh...you've not done yet...I am still to comment...your thank you is a bit too early yet... anywho back to your post, I like impromptu shots...and yes Greg, Asians are obliging because they are mostly trained to be friendly. Aussies are friendly too. It is hard to explain it but even a simple burp while eating their food is a compliment, the same as taking their photo without permission is a sign of appreciation...
I also love the exposure very much...and the colour of the jacarandas.
A very nice capture
That's like a revers photo bomb

Nice shot Dave. I ran into a somewhat similar situation a couple of weeks ago when I caught this shot.
Young couple
Unfortunately, the photographer doing the shoot spotted me and every time she saw me near by her body language was quite negative and she turned her back towards me (actually stopping her shoot). I guess some people assume that they own public spaces when they are there with a client. You were lucky and had a willing participant!
Manfred thanks for our comments. Possibly the difference between your situation and mine was that yours was a pro photographer doing a paid shoot but mine involved a couple of students just having a bit of fun ?
Dave
True - but I've also run into self-important snooty students out shooting around town. They also seem to be more comfortable on the other side of the camera.
I once had the gall to ask a group why they were shooting with a flash modifier and I got the "you just don't understand" look and comments. Unfortunately, I was trying to help and their use of modifier was doing little more than blowing light out in directions where it would get lost, rather than adding anything to the image. Their loss....
Dave, if you'll allow me. Just a short comment. Thanks.
Whenever I see a fotog working, as in taking a photo of/for a client, I prefer to show the fotog I'm just passing thru. I stow away my cam or shut it off to show respect/courtesy. However, if the fotog smiles and gives me the ok-signal, I may take a couple of shots- move on. But, hey, that's just me.....
