    Pontneddfechan falls, South Wales

Shot these at the week-end. This is a great area for water-fall shots. All done with Canon 5D and 24-105L.

    C&C welcome.

    Hi Rob,

hey look great. All well composed and exposed. My favorites are four and five. I like the point of view on fiver. Number four has a very good combination of the picture elements. The static tree on the left and the dynamic flow of the water suit together well.

    bye

As per Robert; very good work there Rob.

I like each for different reasons.

Nice images and having the figure alongside gave it a sense of scale, although I hope you didn't encourage him or her to do so.

A nice series, Rob, and #3 is brilliant. But I'd almost suggest taking #3 out of the series. It's such a different feel that it makes the others seem somewhat artificial by comparison, whereas if they're viewed separately, they're not that way at all. I don't know if I'm making any sense: I like all of them, but #3 throws the series out of tune somehow, even though I like it best.

    Cheers,
    Rick

It was my wife. You are allowed to walk behind the fall. Although it can be a little slippery after heavy rain it wasn't too bad last week-end.

Yes, I know what you mean. #3 has an ethereal look, but the other shots are more representative.

    Just add 'MacKenzie'

    Rob

I agree entirely with Rick's sentiments. All are well put together images, to your normal high standard. But #3 rises majestically above the rest and slots very easily into the 'classic' category. I'm still staring, awe-struck, at the overall effect of light, but particularly on the water in the upper half on the right-hand side, and that coming down the cliff face onto the rock on the left-hand side.
