If it is the fallen leaves , may I suggest get down lower and shoot a variety of angles to get a better feel of the subject matter . This is only my opinion on a different take . Well done in this pic , but to me the focus is more on the trees and this was captured nicely.

I would enjoy the fall carpet if it wasn't followed by the winter white out. But still and all a nice shot.
