Snoozing in the square
This was taken earlier this summer in Nathan Phillip's Square, the enormous public space in front of our City Hall, here in Toronto.
During an Annual Art Festival, I was prowling around looking for interesting subjects when I noticed an elderly man just relaxing and grabbing a nap in the warm sun.
I liked the composition and his relaxed body language, and grabbed this shot.
motorized Nikon F3P
Tamron SP 35~105 2.8 AIS manual focus
Fuji 100 ISO colour slide
exposure probably f8 @ 1/1000th

Nicely done, Robert. I like the dark tones.

Re: Snoozing in the square
Robert, love your picture. Perhaps convert to B&W although the dark tones helps. Just a thought, if the scene was in vivid colours I do not think it would be half as good. I really like it.
Cheers Ole

Re: Snoozing in the square
Robert....I like the image, but cannot help wondering, that perhaps in B/W it would look more dramatic ?
But that's me....somehow I always feel street photography is asking for B/W.......
