Wow, Peter - that is a beauty. The subject is perfectly placed and you have given it enough sky overhead to not make it feel crowded. The simplicity is what appeals most, I think, for me.
Very striking, Peter. Can you tell us camera/lens/exposure details

Congratulations. A beauty. The overall composition is gorgeous.
The fence is a little soft. Was that deliberate? It certainly doesn't detract from what must be seen as a real keeper. Just curious if it would add anything further if it was possible to get it sharp? Not sure that it would
It is a nice shot, but I was a bit put off by the soft sign

Cheers,
Looks like a silhouette to me, but is is strangely attractive. It is in this case easy to sort the noise.
Thank you all for your comments and to Dave for covering the shooting details. The following explains the shooting conditions.
I had the 70 – 300 lens on from shooting another image immediately before. I did not have enough light to hand hold and did not have my tripod. I had to up the ISO to get as much light as possible without too much loss of quality and rest the camera on the car door to keep it as steady as possible. As it was the shutter speed was still low at 125th for this set up. In doing so I lost some clarity in the sign with the focal length and aperture. I did think of cloning it out but think it balances the image a little.
There was quite a bit of noise so I used 100% luminance reduction in the RAW conversion. The final print image of the windmill is sharp but I cannot pick up any further sharpness on the sign.
