    Thanks, Doug,

Definately one of the best fleeting moments i ever had.

I was glad i was there to see it evolve. I have some shots that I took a few minutes earlier and the lighting was not there yet - then the lights came on and the curtain rolled up - and I was ready for the show.

    Hello Matt

    Thank you for your comment.

To me, as an image evolves and matures, there can be many variants, differently interpreted, that are equally as good as the original version.

This is exactly my thoughts, Alas mine rarely get passed the larval stage.

I noticed that photography has taught me to see (notice) more and to some degree Through the people on this board I have learned to see things in differing ways.

This could be your equivalent of Michael Kenna's Kussharo Lake Tree. He photographed it so many times, until it was cut down in 2009. Now you've got this outside your front door, right there for you, as you say, in every season, with every light. This is a lovely image of the trees. I'm sure there will be many more.

Now you're seeing like a photographer. It makes us so much more aware of our surroundings and our environment. Even when we don't have a camera with us, we can still see and enjoy so much more than we did previously.

So late to this thread too, Marie...sorry. As I love clouds very much, when I saw your image, I thought it lacks the emphasis on it because the movement is there already. Otherwise, I like what you saw and took here...The colour is lovely. When I get the chance I will play with this.

What a great view to look out on Marie, well captured and then tweaked by various responders to your original post.

    Dear Donald,

Thank you for that link! It is truly me, but certainly not as good as him.

Here are some other versions to share with you...

The view from my front door

The view from my front door

Enjoy. And thank you for pointing me to that link, my friend.

    Hi, Mike!

Thanks for stopping by. I have been housebound with a bone fracture in my ankle (I took a tumble) so had enforced time to catch my breath and even look at the RAW files.
