    Summer can't be far away.

When the Orchard butterflies arrive, summer is not far behind.

Both are good; second one offers a better view; there is a weak halo around though

Thank you. The second photo was taken in very high contrast lighting - the butterfly is deep black and all around was in bright sunlight. I struggled with both the histogram and 'blinkies' to avoid blown highlights and loss of black detail. The halo is not visible in the RAW file, so if you have any advice on PP to lift the shadows and lower the highlights without introducing the halo it would be most welcome.

I like both of them...there is a clear separation of the butterfly and the background. You always get the better weather all around, no matter what weather condition.

Queensland, fine one day - perfect the next.

Not how I heard from the Melbournians...they say Queensland, perfect one day, flooded the next.
