We seem to have been having similar weather, although the clouds broke here, freezing temperatures and a touch of snow replaced it (not somethig that makes me want to get out and take pictures).
After reading that post, I went back through some of my images and played with the vibrance slider!

NIMBY = Not in my back yard

Oddly, I learned of this acronym just yesterday on a television show and now I see it appearing today.

That's an acronym that's been in widespread use over here for quite a long time. Surprised you hadn't come across it Matt. Applied to everything from wind turbines, to new motorways and highways, rail lines, airports, etc , etc. Everyone agrees we need them, they just don't want them built where they live.

Add to that list nuclear power plants, storage of radioactive waste and (always smelly) public water filtration plants and garbage incinerators.

I had a customer who had a major client at a public water filtration plant. After driving around the facility for a couple of hours one day, she explained that she smelled so bad that she went home, took a shower and changed clothes before returning to her office in the city.

I have a terribly ineffective nose, which comes in handy around such smelly environments.

Sorry I came back to this late. Thanks Mike and Donald for explaining the acronym I used.
