    Falling

Was trying to create an uneasy feeling that I have of heights.

    Re: Falling

This works for me more as an abstract, partly because the toning you used that removes some of the realism from the scene. I just love the contrasting diagonals of the bridge and the cloud pattern. Great eye!

I didn't view a histogram of the image, but the image seems a little flat. Try getting your black point black, your white point close to white, and increasing the mid-tone contrast just a small amount to determine if you like a more dramatic version.

Mike, I totally agree with your comments. I tried to apply your suggestions in the update below. I like this version better but I can see where there is still room for improvement. I do not own Photoshop but suspect the artistic effect may be easier to achieve with that application. Thanks again for your suggestions they are helping a lot. Best regards, Sam

A very nice image. It's all the more powerful for its simplicity. I agree with Mike and prefer the second version.

I don't like heights, but when I am up there, I might as well enjoy the view...and the last one made me giddy already...congratulations for the added headache ...

It works well, Sam. I don't mind heights. It's falling that worries me. Nice composition.
