    Lilly pond

Couple of shots from the Lilly pond out front of where I'm working.
The first is the image I had planned, I wanted to get a frogs eye view and pretty happy with the result. The second image just caught my eye, I liked how the reflection of the window framed the Lilly. Maybe a closer crop ?
    C&C welcome.
    Cheers, Greg

    Hi Greg,

    Two nice shots.
You certainly have met your objective with your first shot. As for the second, the very reflection that appeals to you, I find detracts from an otherwise serene scene.
Always remember that it is your photo and what you like is what counts.

In hindsight, I tend to agree. Thanks for the suggestion

I love the frog's-eye view of the first, Greg. Well executed.

I like the way you have positioned the flower within the reflection of the window frame. The reflection of the wall at the top of frame distracts from the rest of the image (for me). I wonder if cropping down into the leaves would improve the situation - still including those two large leaves and the 4th flower.

Hi Greg, these are beautiful shots. I'd be too worried about getting my camera wet to attempt them :-). In the first image, to me (new guy with untrained eye), the dark vignetting, if you used it, detracts from nice blue sky and white clouds in the upper right hand corn. It does help to draw attend to the pink flower but perhaps just darkening the lower left and maybe right corner(s) would be sufficient. I don't think vignetting is necessary in the second image but is all personal preference. Please do not make any updates on my account. These are awesome photos! - Sam

Greg...can you give your main flower with the window reflection a square crop? Either use one extra flower to accompany it, right or left, it does not matter. It is a nice cleaner effect. Before you do so, here in Lytebox try moving the image at the edge of the screen first to see whether you would like my suggestion or not...

I think you did a good improvement on #1 shot too...I like your interpretation and the removal of the tree as per Nandakumar's suggestion really give it a better focus.
