Both very nice, I like the simple compositions.
I liked both...yet less interesting is more interesting
Very nice images Sam, I would prefer the lovely fall colors though if I had to choose
I find the first image very intriguing. The diagonals create tension, the patterns hold our attention, the ambiguity makes us wonder.
It works for me, Sam. It is the variation in the density of the shadows that raises it above a simple pattern.
I agree with Kevin's assessment too. Darn! Now I feel the tension. Anyway, both works for me. Very simple.
Thanks Izzie - sorry for the tension, especially this time of year. - Best regards
Not sure about the first image Sam, but I do like the second, very nice composition... different from the usual
I do like the abstract effect of #1. I am intrigued by how the wave effect originated. Was it the effect of wind? If it was in the UK, it might have been because of an underlying old ridge-and-furrow system.
John
Wow, wonder how you got the idea? But I think you turned a quite ordinary shot into something special. Congrats
Hi John, I was not sure for a while today but just a little while ago it became clear. As the sun sets low to the horizon the shadows from midsized eastern cedar trees are cast upon the field given it the wavy appearance. I am glad you like the effect. Best regards - Sam
