Izzie, Philip, Binnuer and Howard thanks for commenting.

I have relooked at a couple in particular the third, backing off the clouds contrast a little and eliminating the flare - I'm not sure whether I like it without as somehow it adds something I think. I also tried a B&W conversion....

I like the b&w conversion Kaye.
If I was to be really picky I would suggest you clone out the burnt out sky top right which does catch the eye.

The scene is very dramatic...I o not know which one I like better if that is what you are asking, but I like the perspective look of these. OK, I think the B/W is better...

A pleasure pier is a pedestrian/public pier I suppose. The claim to be the longest wouldn't work if it was any old pier as many of the commerical oil/gas piers arelonger than this. This one has tracks as a train meaders along it's length - there are one or two in the UK with trains on them.

Of course it is a subjective matter, but I prefer the colour version of your edited images, Kaye, as the contrast between the warmer tones of the pier and the cooler tones of the threatening sky gives it an extra dimension over the mono, making it feel more emotionally atmospheric to me.

    Cheers.
