We're enjoying the world down under so much that I haven't visited CIC for a few days. This wasn't intended to be a photography trip and hasn't been so far. Have mostly only taken holiday documentary shots. Here's one of the few deliberate attempts of the trip.
This is Tacking Point Light in Port Macquarie. The first shot was taken our first evening in Port Macquarie just before sunset. It was hazy so not much in the way of color was happening. But I scouted the location with a mind to return for sunrise. The next morning winds were so strong that my little tripod and Sony a6000 wouldn't stand up to it. But I did make it the following morning. Quite a contrast in shots of the same location.
Shot with Sony a6000 and 18-55mm kit lens. The morning shots aren't the sharpest ever. I left "steady shot" turned on and think that may have been a problem. Would appreciate input from any Sony shooters as I haven't found anything in the manual indicating whether it should be off or on when using a tripod.
Linked large enough to view in light box.
