Give me a few weeks when the 'new camera novelty' has worn out and yes I'll get it wet, dirty, chuck it in the boot of the car, leave the lens caps off and generally treat it as a tool - for now its a little too new and precious and I hate myself for saying this but I'm being overly careful with it.

With all that gorgeous soft light in the conservatory I would never leave the house

I wouldn't worry about the weather. As with any new camera, you need to familiarise yourself with it and that means getting out and about. Much easier with a small and light than with a DSLR,

    Yes me too !

I had my D610 for a day and was transporting in in a camera bag on the back seat of the car when I had to brake suddenly. The bag went flying onto the floor and I broke out into a cold sweat. I was petrified that a critical element in the camera had probably been dislodged by a half micron and the camera would never be the same again !
