During a visit, last week, to the Innes National Park on Yorke Peninsular in South Australia, I took a series of photos on a brightly moonlit night amongst the ruins of the old township of Innes.
Originally, Innes was a gypsum mining town but the lack of demand for gypsum (used in wallboard and plaster of Paris) saw the demise of the township of about 10 houses which eventually fell into disrepair.
Part of the constellation of Orion is visible, but will appear upside down for those who are more familiar with viewing it from the northern hemisphere.
C & C welcome.
