The pool guy

Well probably not what anyone expected. This "pool guy" is using a large bamboo pole to skim things that have fallen into the Holy Pool at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, India. He's pushing them closer to the side of the pool so that the garbage can be removed.

I was wondering about that myself as it seems to be elsewhere too. I wonder if it is a subtle hint that it gets deeper beyond that point?

Their holy pool (although there are signs referring to it as the "holy tank" elsewhere), their rules...

The English part of the sign is the most intriguing element to me. First, the word, edible, is converted into two words, eata ble. Second, rather than indicate that people aren't supposed to sit with their feet in the water, the sign indicates to sit by folding legs. At least I think that's the intention.

No I hadn't. This image doesn't meet any of the "tests" I do to see if the image will be an improvement as a B&W image. I suspect it will lose something in the conversion. But just to have a look at it as a B&W:





It does work; but for me, not as well as the original.
