This is another in a series of shots from the Golden Temple, in Amritsar, India. Here I caught a man getting ready to enter the holy pool.





The men would enter the pool in many places, but a private area away from prying eyes (and prying cameras) is where the women would enter the holy pool.

I wonder if he is "sitting by folded legs"?

I like the subtle leading lines in the tiles. Those and the handrail in the holy pool all point to the subject. Arguably, those lines -with the subjec - form a triangle, a solid structure which, in this context, suggest to me the strength of tradition.
