I wanted to post this in the compact and bridge camera section but felt this grouping would be more appropriate. The dog pictured is not mine, we are a family of cat owners. The Run for Rover 5k is an annual event that for an animal assistance program. The organization helps defray the costs of emergency vet care for those who cannot afford it. Humans run the 5k and there is a shorter run for pets and their owners immediately after the big race.
