Two nice shots John!
I love your shots, especially #1. Is sharpening a tad overdone? That, however, is only my opinion.
Cheers Ole
Nice shots. I like #1 the best because of the setting and colors. I like how you offset the bridge and ducks to the right versus having them centered in the photo. #2 might convert well to B&W.
Lovely vibrant colours - especially like the 1st
Your style is changing .... some similarity to Matt's style.... i really love these images... the blue is so lovely....
Very nice images! The first one really appeals to me with the reflections, especially with the way the stream takes your eye through the whole scene. With the second one the shadow and light on the structure is very nice. The colors are great, though I'm with Ole in thinking the sharpening is a touch high. Are these produced from some kind of HDR or similar blending process?
Really like the first one John! Is the bridge dipping a tiny bit to the "screen right"?
What catches my eye on the second one is the pine tree peaking above the structure. Prob wouldn't be as noticeable in B&W.
Hi Kim,
I tried many different angles but was limited with my 18-55mm kit lens, I was trying to keep my shadow out of the composition while getting as much of the structure within the frame. I plan to return with my 10-24mm lens but this might throw some real distortions into the scene. I tried a few variations but the position of the sun only gave me a few options. Thanks for commenting.
Both very nice John
I like both...I am glad you did not do an HDR...I was also thinking you might have...great colours but I prefer your other shots with lesser. I have been to the Nikonians just peeking, not participating, and I find most of their processing a bit on the heavy side, but one. I guess I like natural better...
John,
The first is a really nice composition, but for my tastes, it is oversaturated. It's more noticeable in the lytebox. It's all taste, of course, but I prefer a more natural appearance. I tried desaturating a bit in PS, and it looked better to me.
